The Not-Very-Exclusive Club I Wish I Wasn’t a Member of.
December 11, 2008This is for all the parents. I know every parent goes through this, and it’s even a rite of passage of sorts, but still.
Monday night while Sophie was taking a bath, Maren and I were in the hall talking when we hear Sophie using one of her new words. “Gross. Gross. Gross.” When we peeked in, we saw Sophie was using the word correctly. She was holding out some poop in her hand. And left much, much more in the tub. Maren got to clean Sophie up from her bath (ironically) and I got to clean out the bath tub. The tough part was Sophie took a bubble bath, so I was never exactly sure how much poop was hidden beneath the bubbles.
Turns out, she hadn’t made a dirty diaper for my dad all day and only had one small dirty for me that afternoon. She was apparently saving it for that night.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! That’s the best blog entry I’ve read all day! (and I’ve read a lot of them)
Nice…tell me again why we should have kids…oh right because when they smile it makes it all worth it…sounds like a bunch of poop to me!
[...] The story begins Sunday at lunch. Most of you know Maren and I have some guests, namely my sister, brother-in-law, and their two boys aged 7 and 5. While we’re enjoying a family lunch at home, I hear the sound of a drink being spilled over at the kids’ table. I turn to see who spilled the drink and I see the drink is spilling from Sophie’s mouth. Projectile-ly. All over the 7 year old who challenged her to the drinking contest.
